Recruiting PTA Board Members & Chairs
Some of the benefits that PTA brings to our school include programs such as One World One Night, Spring Carnival, STEAM Day, the KISS Cookout and Art in the Classroom. We also fund many of the fantastic clubs, and educational competitions that Spicewood offers including Math Pentathlon, Math Superstars, Spelling Bee, Destination Imagination, and Reflections. We also provide funding to all of the teachers, including specials, running club, the literacy library, science fair. We provide funding for teacher training, classroom field trips, classroom parties, teacher appreciation, and so much more. This is why it's so critical for parents to step up and volunteer to keep PTA going. If you are interested in volunteering, here's what you can do: First, check out the President's Blog where she describes each of the board positions. Then, throw your name in the hat for one of the board positions through our Online Interest Form. If you read the blog and still have questions, you can reach out to the board members currently serving in the positions you are curious about, or you can attend our next PTA meeting on February 23rd. If you would like to volunteer for a chair position, please reach out to the current chairperson to let them know that you are interested. If you have further questions, please email Carole Callaghan at email@example.com.
